REDRHINO PROTECTION PLAN (RPP)
The RedRhino Protection Plan (“RPP”) is an optional benefit that modifies certain terms of the RedRhino Equipment Rental Agreement. RPP is designed to reduce your financial responsibility if rented equipment is accidentally damaged while in your possession.
NOTICE
FOR ALL EQUIPMENT RENTALS NOT LICENSED FOR PUBLIC ROAD USE, CUSTOMERS MUST PROVIDE VALID INSURANCE DOCUMENTATION OR PURCHASE THE REDRHINO PROTECTION PLAN. IF INSURANCE CANNOT BE VERIFIED AT THE TIME OF RENTAL, RPP IS REQUIRED TO PROCEED.
RPP IS NOT INSURANCE. It is a RedRhino-exclusive damage waiver program that must be selected at the time of rental and used in conjunction with the RedRhino Terms & Conditions.
Before selecting or declining RPP, customers should review their own insurance policy to determine whether rental equipment is already covered.
RPP TERMS & CONDITIONS
A – Damage Waiver Coverage
When the RedRhino Protection Plan is purchased, and subject to the exclusions below, RedRhino will waive its right to collect from the Customer for accidental physical damage to the equipment, up to the cost of repair or replacement.
Each approved incident is subject to a $3,500 deductible, plus applicable taxes and fees.
B – Proper Use Requirement
Customer agrees that the equipment will be used only by the Customer or an authorized operator and strictly in accordance with:
- All safety instructions
- Manufacturer guidelines
- Applicable laws and regulations
- The RedRhino Rental Agreement
Improper or unsafe operation voids RPP coverage.
C – Exclusions (Not Covered by RPP)
The RedRhino Protection Plan does NOT cover damage, loss, or liability arising from:
- Intentional damage, neglect, misuse, or abuse
- Operation outside intended use or manufacturer recommendations
- Tire or rubber track failures (cuts, punctures, blowouts, wear)
- Damage caused by improper loading, securing, or transport
- Theft resulting from failing to lock or secure equipment
- Operation while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairment
- Environmental or weather-related events (flood, fire, wind, etc.)
- Losses due to failure to maintain proper fluid levels
- Damage caused by exceeding rated load capacities
If any exclusion applies, the Customer remains fully responsible for all repair and replacement costs.
D – RPP Fee
The cost of the RedRhino Protection Plan is 15% of the rental charges, plus applicable state and local taxes.
E – On-Road Equipment
RPP does not apply to vehicles or equipment licensed for public road use. Customers renting on-road equipment must provide appropriate insurance as required by the RedRhino Rental Agreement.
